DENVER, CO and TORONTO, ON — September 23, 2025 — Frontier Carbon Solutions and Mangrove Systems today announced a strategic partnership to deploy Mangrove's digital MRV platform across Project Sprint, Frontier's pioneering CO₂-by-rail BECCS project spanning the U.S. Midwest and Mountain West.
Revolutionary Carbon Transport Model
Project Sprint breaks new ground in carbon management by using existing rail infrastructure to transport captured CO₂, eliminating the need for extensive pipeline systems. The process: CO₂ is liquefied, loaded onto specialized railcars, and transported to the Granger Carbon Terminal in Wyoming—the world's first large-scale rail-to-sequestration facility. From there, it's permanently stored in Frontier's Class VI wells at the Sweetwater Carbon Storage Hub.
Phase one capacity: 500,000 metric tonnes of CO₂ annually, positioning Project Sprint as one of North America's most scalable carbon removal hubs.
End-to-End Transparency
Mangrove's digital MRV platform ensures complete transparency from biomass sourcing through permanent storage. The system delivers real-time traceability and verifiable datasets required for Puro certification, third-party validation, and rapid credit issuance.
